Creative Juices Flowing

So, the last few days I've been working on this great little project that I plan to teach for a class. It has been so much fun! I have finally been taking time to just be creative. My brain has been working overtime. Of course, my house and family have been slightly neglected, but I will catch up with things this week. (Still hoping that someone will invent a self-cleaning toilet...) Aside from the project I am about to complete, I have four other mini albums in the works, five scrapbook layouts, and a very cool original idea perkilating. Sometimes I feel like I get so much inspiration from all of you crafty ladies that it's difficult to have an original thought. Most of my creativity springs from something I've seen or read. But I have finally had a thought all my own. It is going to make a very fun little album. I don't want to spoil it, but it is going to be cool. I hope to bring it to completion within the next couple of weeks. Then I will post it here. In the meantime, here is my current little book (my camera battery conked out. So, I had to resort to the scanner)...

This project was so much fun. The base of each page is a craft paper envelope. Some are sealed shut and others are left open with paper covering the inside of the flap (so that they won't accidentally seal) for extra photos and momento storage. There is lots of texture going on with homemade felt pieces, painted accents, ink, sanding of photos, staples, rick rack, a little glitter here and there and lots of different papers. I had so much fun with this. When my camera is up and running again, I will post a picture of the album as a whole. Of course there are lots of ribbons tied to the ring binders that hold the album together.
