So, baseball season is finally over. All of those evenings sitting at fields, driving round in circles to get everyone where they need to be, getting a sunburn while sitting in the stands...I miss it. Now what do we do with all of this free time? The boys have their own ideas, well one really, play video games. Of course, we limit their time to 1/2 hour or so per day. So, that leaves the other 15 1/2 hours of daylight to try to keep little boys occupied. Though they are going to bed a little later, they are still on school time and keep waking us up by 6:30am. By the time they adjust to the summer schedule and are waking up at a more reasonable hour it will be time for them to start school again. That's always the way it works. We have hired our secret weapon for the second summer in a row, Monica. She is so awesome. When I look at her, I think that she will be one of the greatest elementary school teachers ever. It just seems to be in her blood. The boys love her, and she is great with them. Last year they went on so many adventures (in our backyard). They even had a passport. So, this summer they are excited to see what new things she has dreamed up.

Oh, by the way, Joel's team (the Dodgers lead by Coach Tony) ended their season very well, making it to the semi-finals. Christian's team (the A's lead by Coach Marcus) ended up winning the championship game against the feared Mets. It was a nailbiter. We are thankful that our boys had the opportunity to play under these coaches who not only taught them the skills needed to play baseball, but the skills needed to be a true team player.
